News: Rimac Cooperates With Kia To Make Automatic Taxis, Expected To Commercialize In 2026

Rimac, the Croatian supercar manufacturer known for the Nevera electric hypercar, is venturing into the world of autonomous taxis. The company is collaborating with Kia on the Project 3 Mobility, aiming to launch automatic taxis services commercially by 2026.

Beyond its high-performance electric supercars, Rimac has been expanding its horizons, previously partnering with Hyundai for sports car production. Now, their focus is on the development of robotaxis, fully autonomous electric vehicles designed to operate without human intervention.

Operated under the infrastructure being developed by Rimac, which includes charging stations, storage facilities, and parking spaces, these robotaxis represent a significant departure from the commercial car models Rimac is known for.

To kickstart this ambitious project, Rimac plans to establish a dedicated factory in Croatia for the production of automatic taxis and their components. The pilot phase will begin in the capital city, Zagreb, before expanding to other cities in Croatia and beyond, marking a forward-looking step into the future of urban mobility.
