News: GUMBALL 3000 Founder Comes to Cambodia, First Stop for Supercars to Gather in Siem Reap

Mr.  Maximillion Cooper, founder of the GUMBALL 3000, arrived in Cambodia on the evening of August 8, 2024, and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Leang Pov, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chipmong Group, and members of the GUMBALL 3000 family. His arrival marked the beginning of an unprecedented luxury car summit - not only for car enthusiasts, but also for the promotion of tourism, charity and investment in Cambodia.

On August 10th, Kuch Panhasa, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, hosted a press conference for the official opening of the Gumball 3000 event at the Chimao 271 Mega Mall. The launch attracted many guests including Mr. Leang Pov, Board Member of Cambodia's co-organizer Chipmong Group, Maximillion Cooper, Founder of Gumball 3000, as well as supercars and top-of-the-line luxury automobiles from the business community, athletes and world-class celebrities.

HE.Kuch Panhasa, Secretary of State of Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism, said that Gumball 3000 brings together the world's most recognizable multi-millionaire luxury car owners, further boosting Cambodia's tourism industry. He noted that tourism is one of Cambodia's core economic pillars and the Gumball 3000 event provides an excellent platform for Cambodia to showcase its tourism potential.

Mr. Leang Pov, member of the Board of Directors of Chipmong Group, pointed out on the occasion that this year's Gumball 3000 event in Cambodia has four main objectives: firstly, to promote the development of Cambodia's tourism industry and to enhance the country's international reputation; secondly, to donate money to the Angkor Children's Hospital in Siem Reap province to support charitable causes; thirdly, to create networking opportunities for foreign and local private investors; and fourthly, to park in front of Angkor Wat the most modernized luxury car in front of Angkor Wat, challenging the Guinness World Record. He added that Chipmong Group has added more excitement to the Gumball 3000 event, including a display of supercars from powerful Cambodian figures, top businessmen and artists, which will surely thrill car enthusiasts.

It is worth mentioning that the Cambodia Gumball 3000 event will be held from September 15 to 17, 2024. The three-day event will pass through the Bavet International Border Port, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and finally return to the Poipet International Border Port. Siem Reap was chosen as an important stop for the event, aiming to further promote the tourism potential of Angkor Wat to the world through the participation of celebrities from all over the world. The event will be open to the public free of charge, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Angkor Children's Hospital.
