News: Do You Know How Many Chinese Car Brands Are Rooted In Cambodia?

As we all know, Cambodia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia. However, I believe many of you may not be familiar with how many Chinese automobile brands are present in Cambodia. Let Liberty Carz provide you with some information:

1. Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC)

JMC, also known as Jiangling Motors, is a prominent Chinese automotive brand.
In June 2022, JMC AUTO, the official distributor of JMC in Cambodia, organized a promotional event at Aeon 2, showcasing various models including the JMC Pick UP 9, JMC Pick UP 7, JMC DFSK Glory 500, and JMC Truck. This marked the official launch of JMC vehicles in Cambodia.

2. BYD (Build Your Dreams)

BYD, founded in 1995, has expanded globally over 27 years and entered the Cambodian market on August 13, 2022.
BYD introduced the overseas version of the Yuan Plus, named ATTO 3, which is an electric compact SUV built on BYD’s new e-platform 3.0. More BYD models are expected to be introduced in the Cambodian market in the future.

3. Great Wall Motors

On June 11, 2023, Great Wall Motors held a media appreciation and test drive event in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, themed “Go With More.”
Models such as the Haval H6, Haval JOLION, Haval Big Dog, Tank 300, and Great Wall Cannon were showcased, introducing five vehicles to the Cambodian market.

4. Changan Automobile

On May 26, 2022, Changan Automobile held a launch event for the 2022 new luxury cars at Premier Centre Sen Sok in Phnom Penh.
The 2022 Changan CS35 Plus and CS75 Plus luxury cars were officially launched in Cambodia.

5. Chery Automobile

In 2020, Chery Automobile officially entered the Cambodian market. Chery is one of the early Chinese brands to go international, having exported its first batch of vehicles to the Middle East in 2001.

6. Dongfeng and Dongnan

Cambodia Huayao Auto, established in 2019, represents three major Chinese automotive brands: SOUEASTDONGNAN (Southeast), DONGFENG EASTWING (Zhengzhou Nissan and Fengshen), and VENUCIA. It covers various categories, including sedans, SUVs, and pickups.
